The skin tones are right
Warm without going orange. Semi gloss keeps the reflections down in our bright living room.

Meet the artist
Elif DemirDocumentary portrait photographer · Istanbul, Turkey
I photograph people who make things by hand in Istanbul — coppersmiths, bakers, tile painters, weavers — in their own workshops, by the light that comes through the door.
“Hands, tools and light tell you how long someone has been doing a thing.”

Matte suits ink
No glare, and the paper texture of the original comes through. It reads like a painting on the wall, not a photo of one.

Our hallway glows now
We hung it at the end of a dark hallway and the lanterns carry the whole wall. It came packed like equipment, every corner protected.
