The skin tones are right
Warm without going orange. Semi gloss keeps the reflections down in our bright living room.

Meet the artist
Mei LinOil painter · Vancouver, British Columbia
I paint water and cities from memory, in thin oil glazes built up over weeks. I grew up in Shanghai and have painted it from Vancouver for twelve years.
“I paint what a place felt like, then I check the photographs and change nothing.”

Matte suits ink
No glare, and the paper texture of the original comes through. It reads like a painting on the wall, not a photo of one.

Our hallway glows now
We hung it at the end of a dark hallway and the lanterns carry the whole wall. It came packed like equipment, every corner protected.
