The skin tones are right
Warm without going orange. Semi gloss keeps the reflections down in our bright living room.

Meet the artist
Ewan MacLeodBlack-and-white photographer · Isle of Skye, Scotland
I make black-and-white long exposures on the coasts of Skye and the Outer Hebrides, leaving the shutter open for minutes until the sea goes quiet.
“Eight minutes is long enough for the sea to forget the wind.”

Matte suits ink
No glare, and the paper texture of the original comes through. It reads like a painting on the wall, not a photo of one.

Our hallway glows now
We hung it at the end of a dark hallway and the lanterns carry the whole wall. It came packed like equipment, every corner protected.
