The skin tones are right
Warm without going orange. Semi gloss keeps the reflections down in our bright living room.

Meet the artist
Henrik VirtanenBird photographer · Oulu, Finland
I photograph birds in snow, mist and low northern light, from the lakes around Oulu to the crane grounds of Hokkaido, usually from a hide or lying in the snow for hours.
“In fog, a bird turns into a single brushstroke. I wait for that moment.”

Matte suits ink
No glare, and the paper texture of the original comes through. It reads like a painting on the wall, not a photo of one.

Our hallway glows now
We hung it at the end of a dark hallway and the lanterns carry the whole wall. It came packed like equipment, every corner protected.
