The skin tones are right
Warm without going orange. Semi gloss keeps the reflections down in our bright living room.

Meet the artist
Rafael MendesDance photographer · Lisbon, Portugal
I photograph dancers in a black-box studio in Lisbon and on the beaches west of the city, with one light and a slow shutter, so the movement stays in the picture.
“A dancer is never still. I photograph the line the movement leaves behind.”

Matte suits ink
No glare, and the paper texture of the original comes through. It reads like a painting on the wall, not a photo of one.

Our hallway glows now
We hung it at the end of a dark hallway and the lanterns carry the whole wall. It came packed like equipment, every corner protected.
